Some 3D printers are known for their ease of use and ease of use, others for producing beautiful parts with great surface finishes, and still others for the strength of the parts they can print. Fortunately, an industrial Markforged 3D printer is a great choice if you're looking for a long-lasting machine that can produce high-strength parts with great surface finishes, easily and without much 3D printing experience.

We have compiled a few important points that you should know:

The Markforged industrial 3D printers have a range of build volume sizes that they can print, depending on your needs and budget.

The Onyx One, Onyx Pro and Mark Two 3D printers, known as the desktop series, can print up to a size of 320 x 154 x 132 mm.

The X3, X5 and X7 3D printers, known as the X-Series or Industrial Series, can print up to a size of 330 x 270 x 200 mm.

The FX20 3D printer can print up to a size of 525 x 400 x 400 mm.

Markforged has developed its own material called Onyx. This material is polyamide 6 blended with carbon fiber and is about 23% stronger than ABS. Some Markforged 3D printers allow the insertion of continuous fibers, which further strengthen and reinforce the printed parts.

Onyx is currently by far the most widely used and versatile material. Markforged continues to develop and market materials that expand the application possibilities for printers. This year, Precise PLA was launched, a special version of the popular PLA material for high-quality printing on Markforged machines, offering users a cost-effective alternative for prototyping and available in eight different colors.

Markforged's Industrial Series 3D printers also have access to special materials such as Onyx FR and Onyx ESD, a flame-retardant and ESD-compliant material with a v0 rating, respectively.

The new FX20 expands the Markforged portfolio with high-temperature engineering polymers, namely ULTEM™ 9085. An extremely durable thermoplastic with excellent flame, smoke, and toxicity (FST) properties, it is widely used in the aerospace and automotive industries.

Before purchasing a Markforged printer, it is important to consider what materials you need or can benefit from.

Before purchasing a Markforged or any other 3D printer, you should familiarize yourself with the required maintenance. Typically, extrusion-based 3D printers, which are powered by Markforged FFF technology, are the easiest machines to maintain. Almost all parts of Markforged machines are self-supporting, so regular maintenance can be performed quickly and the printer will always run at its best. Regular maintenance is limited, as only a few wear parts, such as nozzles and hoses, require replacement.

Routine maintenance is key to optimal 3D printer operation. Markforged offers "service plans" with its printers, allowing for easy and cost-effective maintenance of the equipment. Wear parts are covered and replaced according to a maintenance schedule, ensuring they're not only replaced when they wear out, but you can always print with the best quality. The parts are also covered for damage should something unexpected happen.

We see Markforged industrial 3D printers being used for a wide variety of applications, from equipment for large production lines in the automotive and aerospace industries, to custom-designed jigs and fixtures for cameras on film sets, to cutting tools for end users. The possibilities are vast.

We're not saying anything is possible. For every 3D printing technology, there are applications it's suitable for and those it's not. For example, you wouldn't use a Markforged 3D printer for fine artistic details or high-volume production, but rather for strong, robust, reliable, and functional parts.
