On August 17, the time had finally come! The new showroom of Mark3D GmbH was born in Haiger near Ingersoll Tools GmbH inaugurated and is now available for demonstrations to all interested parties and customers.

The courageous view beyond the horizon

As a leading manufacturer of standard and special tools for the machining industry, the name Ingersoll stands for particularly high quality in milling cutters, drills, turning tools, and grooving tools. The broad product range primarily includes milling and drilling tools with indexable inserts in standard and special designs, regrindable milling tools, carbide indexable inserts, HSS and carbide cutters, tool holders, tool clamping devices, and thread whirling systems.

Ingersoll is constantly developing its own products and focusing on future-oriented innovations. At the TechCenter in Haiger, a competent team examines all new developments and, in collaboration with customers and partners, refines them to series production.

The innovative and progressive company also dares to think outside the box and has recently started using additive manufacturing for prototype development. With the help of Markforged 3D printers, development cycles can be shortened significantly.

Ingersoll is the best proof of the perfect synergy between 3D printing and machining and dispels a perennial prejudice.

Additive manufacturing is in no way in competition with the machining industry

Application engineer Marc Beimborn says: "The two manufacturing processes complement each other perfectly." "3D-printed components can be easily machined, and 3D printing opens up entirely new perspectives and new development approaches for shapes that unfortunately cannot be produced conventionally." continued Michael Schneider, team leader of the TechCenter. Daniel Held, CEO of Mark3D, added: “There are also different limitations to printing than to machining, and vice versa.”

As the European market leader for fiber-reinforced 3D printing technologies and the largest independent sales partner of Markforged, Mark3D GmbH is an ambitious young company with a motivated team. Mark3D is particularly proud of the Metal X – the latest innovation for state-of-the-art metal 3D printing. “With the Metal X, components that are not optimized for additive manufacturing can now be manufactured economically,” Joachim Kasemann, sales manager at Mark3D, raves about the revolutionary among metal 3D printers. “We are very pleased to be able to present and demonstrate our 3D printers live at Ingersoll.”  This allows interested parties to see for themselves the quality of the 3D-printed components and at the same time experience how easy it is to use the Markforged 3D printers.

The decision to cooperate between the two innovation leaders was therefore a natural fit for both partners. This partnership is unique in Germany and offers interested parties the opportunity to learn more about both manufacturing processes and weigh the advantages and disadvantages for their own application.

The state-of-the-art Ingersoll TechCenter in Haiger offers interested parties and customers of MarkTwo, the X7 and the Metal X available for demo purposes. Experience Markforged's 3D printing technologies firsthand and receive personal advice from our staff.
