Siemens Gas & Energy manufactures world-class gas turbines for industrial power generation and mechanical drive applications. Siemens power plants are used for a variety of applications, including turnkey power plant projects, and are often customized for each customer project. One such customization area is the fuel type used to power the gas turbine.

Siemens is also a pioneer in the field of additive manufacturing and has been driving its industrial implementation for over a decade. In 2012, Siemens opened its first dedicated 3D printing site for series production, repair and prototyping of metal components. The site is located in Finspång, Sweden, and is an integral part of the Gas Turbine Manufacturing division.
