3D printing with fiber reinforcement – The continuous fiber

Why fiber-reinforced 3D printing? Here you can see the cross-section of a component with a classic honeycomb structure, 3D printed with the Markforged Mark Two. However, there is a white "line" along the edge of the component. This white "line" is fiberglass reinforcement! This is additionally injected into the component as a continuous fiber via a second nozzle in the print head.
