Handling 1.2344 tool steel
Markforged 1.2344 tool steel becomes harder, stronger, and tougher when heat-treated. We recommend air hardening at 1010°C (1850°F) and double hardening at 600°C (1110°F). To increase hardness at the expense of part toughness, you can double harden the steel at a lower temperature (500-550°C, 930-1022°F).
Compatible with our Metal X system.
