Start of the cooperation between KUKA and Mark3D

Haiger, August 9, 2023. The use of robots and industrial 3D printers is increasingly revolutionizing the production landscape.

And in particular, the combination of the two technologies offers fascinating possibilities for users in industry and mechanical engineering.

In collaboration with KUKA We present to users precisely these potentials of robotics and 3D printing, which can save time and especially costs.

✅ Robots that load and unload a 3D printer
✅ 3D printed robot grippers
✅ Individual parts and spare parts
✅ Optimization of existing systems
✅ and much more

Thanks to their continuous carbon fiber reinforcement, the industrial Markforged 3D printers are ideal for producing grippers that can withstand mechanical stress.

For an experiment, we attached a gripper from OnRobot to a KUKA iiQKA Education Kit with an LBR iisy 3 and put it into operation.
The gripper jaws designed and printed by Jan Geese from Mark3D GmbH fit right away.

The first results can already be seen on the all about automation discovered in Wetzlar in September.

Which continuous filament is suitable for which application? How do I design correctly for filament 3D printing? What do users say about it, and where can I find more information? – You've come to the right place! We've listed several information sources that will help you get the answers you need.

Construction guide

This guide is intended to help you generate ideas for better design results for your components. It's specifically designed for additive manufacturing processes.

Stronger than aluminum

For years, a compromise between strength, delivery time, and cost had to be accepted. This can now be easily avoided!
