3D printing meets electric aviation – VOCUS

Plug-in hybrid powertrain in aviation.

Additive manufacturing enables significantly more precise manufacturing tolerances for Class II mechanically stressed parts and is printed on the Markforged X7 with Onyx and continuous carbon fiber.

The maiden flight is planned for May/June 2021. The goal is a battery-electric flight of 350 kilometers without a stopover.
From July 14 to 17, 2021, VOCUS will be exhibiting its research aircraft and the Mark Two at the AERO trade fair in the E-Flight Hall.
