Die erhöhte Produktionsgeschwindigkeit von Next Day Metal wird für Hersteller wie den Markforged-Kunden Angus 3D Solutions, einen in Schottland ansässigen Druckdienstleister, von entscheidender Bedeutung sein. Das Team von Angus 3D Solutions musste für seinen Kunden einige spezielle Schraubenschlüssel herstellen, und herkömmliche Prozesse hätten zu lange gedauert und erforderten, dass das Teil per Luftfracht an sein Ziel gebracht würde, um die Frist des Endkunden einzuhalten. Durch die Nutzung des Markforged Metal X-Systems hat Angus 3D Solutions einen Prototyp in drei Tagen statt in zwei bis drei Wochen fertig gestellt und konnte die gesamte Bestellung pünktlich erfüllen, wodurch etwa 25.000 US-Dollar an Versandkosten eingespart und ungeplante Ausfallzeiten vermieden wurden für den Betrieb des Endbenutzers. Mit Next Day Metal könnte das gleiche Teil über Nacht produziert werden.

Der X7 FE ist ein robuster, vor Ort einsetzbarer industrieller 3D-Drucker für die taktische Reaktion auf Bestandsherausforderungen an abgelegenen Standorten, wie er vom XFAB-Programm des U.S. Marine Corps eingesetzt wird. Der X7 FE ist mit einem rotationsgeformten, hochschlagfesten Pelikan-Koffer aus Polyethylen ausgestattet, um ihn während des Transports durch raue Umgebungen zu schützen. Der Koffer enthält alle Werkzeuge, Ersatzteile und Materialien, die für Wartungs- und Reparaturarbeiten im Feld benötigt werden. Kunden können das Gerät direkt in raue Umgebungen wie Kampfzonen und Explorationsstandorte fallen lassen und in weniger als zwei Minuten drucken.
