Markforged Mark Two (Onyx) – Stable Printed Components in Every Office
The Markforged Mark Two desktop 3D printer series is designed to enable any designer and designer to produce stable parts and functional parts in the shortest possible time. Here, the three most important components of hardware, software and material harmonize in perfection and offer you a unique 3D printing experience. You can determine the material and the stability of your components yourself, and then the Mark Two makes perfect functional parts from your CAD data. Let yourself be inspired by the desktop series.
Manufacture the highest quality functional parts with the 3D printer:
- Highest strength, stability and rigidity of printing results
- Production in shortest time for prototypes and small series
- Easiest operation of the powerful EIGER software for processing your CAD data
3D printers for functional parts exposed to high loads
The Mark Two 3D printer was developed to overcome the strength limitations inherent in many 3D printing materials. The Markforged Mark Two 3D printer is the world’s first 3D printer to print composite materials. Now functional parts, tools and devices can be printed with a much better strength-to-weight ratio.
On the Mark Two fundamentally, the difference driving the stability of a component is the endless fibres of a component printed with carbon fibre, fibreglass or Kevlar®. However, the carbon fibre component is optimally designed for tensile and compressive forces only when the carbon fibre is not broken. Therefore it is crucial for the stability of your printed component that you use continuous fibres such as carbon fibre, Kevlar® or fibreglass.
FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication)is the basic principle of this 3D printing technology, in which the outer contours are printed in nylon material and the inner workings of the component are provided with continuous carbon fibres, Kevlar® and fibreglass. The 3D printer actively switches between two nozzles during the printing process to produce amazingly robust fibre-reinforced plastic parts in just one construction process. This continuous fibre printing technology is called Continuous Filament Fabrication (CFF ™).

Precision, Quality, Design – New Generation 3D Printing
Due to their high strength, stability and rigidity, the manufactured components are convincing for various materials with excellent surfaces.
Eiger Software
An innovative, stable or above all easy-to-use platform designed to take as much work as possible from the user. Furthermore, the EIGER software is cloud based, which means that the software is always up to date. From your PC, you can load the 3D print jobs into the cloud-based EIGER software via your browser. The 3D printer can be controlled via LAN cable, USB and W-LAN. The software allows you to manage and catalog your STL files. Thanks to the ease of use, you can intelligently provide your component’s interior with support structures and completely automatically furnish layer by layer in the selected region of the component with the endless fibre. The fibre density can be changed per layer via a simple slider in the software. Consequently, you can design your component perfectly to your force and print out.
A useful feature is that the printing process can be paused to embed components in the print. As a result you can integrate electronics, sensors and ball bearings into your component.
Optionally, we also provide an EIGER OFFLINE version. There is an additional charge for this.
