New Large Format 3D Printing Facility at Hereford Glass Fibre
Last week Mark3D UK Limited – The UK’s #1 Markforged Partner completed the commissioning of two Markforged FX20 Industrial 3D Printers in Hereford Glass Fibre – The UK Specialists in Composite Materials.

The purchase of these 2 large-format 3D printers was facilitated by specialist business funding provider Virtus Finance Limited who are based in Lichfield, and is one of a number of ongoing initiatives being undertaken by the team at Hereford Glass Fibre.
As Pin Pangsang The UK General Manger explains,
“This investment is part of our ongoing business expansion programme and is a key part of our strategy moving forwards. These two machines will enable the team to further develop innovative engineering solutions to customer requests, in speciality engineering grade materials, with much shorter lead times. They complement our existing services such as mould making, polyurethane foam signage, specialist automotive parts and assembly jigs.
We can now produce large prints very quickly in composite materials that include ULTEM 9085, Vega, and Onyx with continuous carbon fibre reinforcement, and this is unique in our industry. It’s also possible to produce lightweight composite parts that are stronger than aluminium, which is a significant innovation for our blue chip customers in the Aerospace and Automotive sectors”.
The completion of the installation provides the single biggest facility anywhere in the UK for Markforged FX20 3D printing. Although the machines will primarily be used to fulfil internal contract work there will also be some capacity available for sub-contract work too, so please get in touch with Mark3D UK if you have a sub-contract requirement and we will make the relevant introductions.
